These Terms govern your use of Coin Identifier (“the app”), provided by Riku Labs. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
The service, in plain language
Coin Identifier lets you photograph a coin and receive information about it — country, year, denomination, metal, mintage, and an indicative value range. The result is generated automatically and is offered for general interest only.
Not an appraisal
Estimated values are derived from publicly observed reference data and condition heuristics. They are not a professional appraisal and should not be relied upon for sale, purchase, insurance, tax, or any other transaction. For anything that matters financially, consult a qualified numismatist.
Accuracy
We try to make the app accurate, but vision models make mistakes — especially on worn, damaged, or unusual coins. You should treat results as a starting point, not a final answer.
Subscriptions
Some features require a subscription, sold through the App Store. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed by Apple per the App Store terms. We do not control or refund those charges directly.
Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the model or our APIs.
- Use the app to scan content that isn’t a coin in an attempt to harvest free vision-model inference.
- Resell, rebrand, or rehost the app or its outputs as your own product.
Intellectual property
Riku Labs owns the app, its code, design, branding, and content. You own your photos and any notes you write inside the app.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riku Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these Terms. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top. Continued use of the app means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Riku Labs’ place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
