Privacy Policy

Coin Identifier is built by Riku Labs. We treat your data the way we’d want ours treated.
What stays on your device
Your saved coins, scan history, and preferences live in local storage on your iPhone. We don’t have a copy. If you delete the app, that data is gone with it.
What leaves your device
When you identify a coin, the photo is sent to our identification service so a vision model can read it. We do not store the image after the response is returned, and it is not used to train models. The textual result (country, year, denomination, etc.) is returned to your device and saved locally only if you choose to keep the scan.
We may also send anonymous analytics events — for example, “a scan was completed” — to understand which parts of the app are used. These events do not contain your photo or personally identifying information.
What we never collect
- We don’t ask for an account, email, or phone number to use the app.
- We don’t read your contacts, location, calendar, or other photos.
- We don’t sell or share your data with third-party advertisers.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are handled by Apple via the App Store. We receive a receipt that confirms you have an active subscription. We never see your card number or Apple ID password.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to operate the app — for example, a hosting provider for our identification API and an analytics provider for anonymous usage events. Each is bound by their own terms and processes data only on our behalf.
Children
Coin Identifier is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, for material changes, surface a notice in the app.
